If you require an urgent appointment, please phone any weekday from 08:00am.  The receptionists will offer you an appointment, if one is available in the morning or afternoon.  

If you prefer, you can also book a routine appointment with any doctor.

Please do not abuse this system. For example: 

• an emergency appointment is not to get repeat medication
• an emergency appointment with a doctor is not for a blood pressure check 

Routine Future GP or Nurses Appointment

If you require a non same day appointment or an appointment with nurse please call after 2.00pm and we will always do our best to accommodate your requests. 

As a large practice it is not possible for us to guarantee that you can see the doctor of your choice.

Telephone Advice

If you particularly want telephone advice please make this clear to reception and they will try to book you a 'telelphone call' appointment slot.

If you already use online access you can continue to use it. You can use the NHS App as well.

If you require an interpreter to attend with you when you see your Doctor please notify the receptionist and she will arrange this for you.

If you feel you would like a chaperone present at your consultation please inform your doctor/nurse who will be more than happy to arrange this for you.

Please telephone reception before 10:30am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back to gather more information, or we may need to arrange a hospital attendance.  Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound.

We do encourage visits to the practice.  There are better facilities for examining and treating patients at he Health Centre.

Medical students and nursing students attend the practice from time to time. We hope that you will co-operate with us and help the students to learn about general practice.

However, you will be informed of their presence in advance, and if you do not want them to be present at a consultation, your wishes will be respected.

This will not affect your treatment in any way.

If you are no longer able to attend your appointment, or if you wish to change or cancel, please inform reception as soon as possble.  You can cancel by replying "cancel" to your text message reminder, online or by phone

Your can cancel your appointment online using the NHS APP www.nhs.uk/nhsapp.

Please attend your appointment on time, if you are late you may not be seen. If you are not seen you will not be able to rearrange your appointment until the next working day-except in the event of an medical emergency that requires immediate attention.

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.

The practice offers extended hours on Wednesday evenings between 18:30 and 20:00 for booked appointments only.
